Conference: Building Competitive Bio-based Industries in the Context of Agricultural, Agro-food and Forestry Sector Development

ABOUT THE EVENT
Croatian Chamber of Agriculture participated on seminar with the main aim to introduce the audience with positive impact of biomass and alternative ways of it’s using. Tajana Radić from the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture has presented a project which aims to release the European strong potentials of wood biomass residues that have been produced by removing plantations and promoting its sustainable use as energy raw materials. The project involves 11 partners in 7 countries. Ms. Radić stressed that she hopes that one will find support for such projects, as the goal is to import less when we already have the capacity to produce independently. The overall event was at a high political and institutional level, attesting to the presence of leading European sector lobbyists, representatives of European administrations, academics and representatives of embassies and missions of member states in Brussels.
